Monolitix AG is a spin-off of EMPA. It was formed as an AG (incorporated company) according to Swiss law in October 2010 in order to transfer the technology of compliant systems into the market.

Monolitix chiefly supplies its technology, products and services to industrial firms and academic institutions in Switzerland and the rest of Europe.

As a technology provider, Monolitix cooperates with market leaders from various fields in product development partnerships. Monolitix offers its own developed products as standardised as well as customer-specific products. Finally, the portfolio of services includes feasibility studies, engineer to order (ETO) work, computerised simulations and optimisations as well as consultancy.
